Terms and Conditions for Poultry Sales

  1. The highest bidder to be the buyer, if any dispute arises concerning any bidding, the lot to be put up again and resold.
  2. The biddings to be regulated by the Auctioneers.
  3. All lots are the responsibility of the Vendor up to the fall on the hammer and at the risk of the Purchaser thereafter.
  4. In the case of the lots upon which there is a reserve, the Auctioneers shall have the right to bid on behalf of the Vendor.
  5. The Purchasers to give their full names and address. In default of which the lot or lots purchased to be immediately put up again or resold.
  6. All lots subject to 10% Buyers Premium . No lots to be transferable, and all accounts to be settled at the close of sale.
  7. The lots to be taken away whether genuine and authentic or not, with all faults and errors of every description, and to be at the risk of the Purchaser immediately after the fall of the hammer. The Auctioneers will not hold themselves responsible for the correct description or authenticity of, or any fault or defect in any lot, and make no warranty.
  8. To prevent inaccuracy in the delivery and inconvenience in the settlement of purchases, no lot must be removed during the sale, or without being previously paid for.
  9. If any person neglects or refuses to comply with any of the foregoing conditions the Auctioneers shall be at liberty to re-sell the lot and any deficiency that may arise in the re-sale together with all expenses attending it, shall be made good by the defaulter.
  10. All poultry to be caged by 9.30 a.m. on morning of sale.
  11. A penning charge of £1 per cage will be applied regardless of whether the lot is sold or unsold.
  12. Payment is by collection of the cash at the following sale or later. Cheque payments can be made on sums of £20.00 or more by request.
